Fantastique New Year’s Masquerade Dance Party

The nine-member dark electronica group Hipnautica dabbles in fanciful mystique and ambient beats to present a hypnotic live performance that inspires enchantment and desire. The group, lead by lyricist, composer, and percussionist Sky, has always been intriguing to me, simply because they have focused a tremendous amount of energy into creating a theatrical presentation out of their musical works.

On December 31st, 2008, Hipnautica hosts the Fantastique New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball at the Copa Bar and Grill at 217 Congress Ave. in downtown Austin.

Hipnautica will take the stage after our massive midnight countdown and feature beautiful visuals, intoxicating dancers, eclectic live musicians such as Omid on didgeridoo, Michael Cry on bass, Guymon Adams on guitars, Sky on lead vocals, keyboards, synth and piano, Blue as our Tribal Drummer, Sarah Flo as our ceremonial and soulful lead vocalist, and Indrajt Banerjee on Sitar. Not to mention mind blowing VJ driven visuals by Serdar Camlica of 3DFiction.com (Istanbul Turkey) and VenomDesigns.com with Ritch N.(subNatural) ..s, Just confirmed makeup by Wendy Sanders of Blood & Glitter Makeup. Miche77e from Puzzelle Productions is helping with marketing, event coordination and and She will be our lovely New Year’s hostess/M.C. to keep things rolling all night. Trevor Wilson will also be helping us with stage design and thematic Fantastique installations.

4 Beautiful Dancers including our Dark World Gypsies – Infiniti, Miranda, Tinkr and Techno Go Go Freak – Sparkle Motion will inspire you to dance throughout the night.  Imagine Moby and Massive Attack, meets cirque du soleil and Charles Winston, meets Nine Inch Nails and Ravi Shankar…. there is nothing like Hipnautica in Austin and this will be one of our most overwealming and positive shows – you will reget missing this.

We will be decorating the place for the party of the year.

We are planning a Massive Countdown with FREE Champagne Midnight Toast which launches the Hyper Surreal Live Performance by Hipnautica, with Free Masks at the door for the first 50 people without a mask (wear a mask and save $5), Free Party Favors.

The theme “FANTASTIQUE” – The New Years Eve Masquerade Ball“. The doors of COPA (217 Congress Ave) open at 9pm with Dj’s on two floors. High Energy Dance music downstairs, Salsa Dancing upstairs. Hipnautica will start an eclectic high energy live electronic / world / rock concert combining thematic artwork on projectors and computer monitors, intoxicating dancers, and powerful all original music from one of Austin’s most interesting and dynamic groups… join us for New Years ~ you will not be disappointed. We will be open after hours as well till 3:30am.

First 50 people will receive party favors and masquerade masks (while supplies last) however if you bring your own it will save you $5.
